The Twins Wine House, Qvevris MZE ‘Kakhuri Mtsvane’, Kakheti, Georgia 2021

The grape 'Mtsvane Kakhuri', usually shortened as 'Mtsvane', means 'green Kakheti' in Georgian. Aged on skins in the qvevri for 6 months, the wine features toffee apple on the nose and some savoury, gamey notes over a rich undertone of dried yellow fruits. Ripe, grippy tannins on the palate, with dried apricot and quince sweetness.
