This is incredible value at just under a fiver! Part of the core range, it's bottled under screwcap for maximum freshness, and balances flavour, acidity, alcohol and sweetness in a delightful manner. It's light in alcohol at 10.5%, and probably contains around 20g/L residual sugar. Lovely notes of sugared peach and apricot stone fruit, and white blossom. OK, you won't get the same concentration and complexity that you'd find in more expensive Mosel Rieslings, but it's a charming and gentle entry-level example, which would work perfectly with a Thai takeaway.
