The latest release of Langham's Blanc de Blancs is a blend of the 2019 vintage (61%) and reserve wine (39%). The base wine was fermented in used oak and tank, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged on lees for 2 years in bottle, it has a nose of bready yellow apple, baked pears and blossom. Sappy and complex on the bone-dry palate (dosage at 1.5g/l). White pepper-seasoned lemon peel and apple tart lead to depth of sweet spices and creamy brioche. A touch of dried camomile and roasted nuts on the long finish.
