The wine estate Khareba has a history traced back to the 17th century, with a 7.7km network of tunnels dug under the Caucasus Mountains to cellar its enormous production volume. This 10-year-old orange wine is crafted using the indigenous Tsitska grape, fermented and aged in 500-900L qvevris with 35% skin. Bottled in 2014, it's now golden with an amber hue in colour, featuring a complex nose of banana peel, yellow apple, sweet spices and dried pineapple. Refreshingly balanced with a rich, textured palate of yellow fruits, quince and orange zest, leading to hazelnuts and dried mango on the long finish.
