Château de La Dauphine, Fronsac – Wine Tourism Restaurants winner
The important thing at Château de La Dauphine is to arrive hungry – although, please take note, reservations are necessary. There is a range of different food and wine combinations on offer here, including a picnic on the hill or lunch by the infinity pool. All options include a guided tour and tasting of Dauphine wines. Fingerfood cookery classes or wine and savoury cupcake pairings are also available. Owned for 15 years by Guillaume Halley, who oversaw a transition to biodynamic farming, the château was recently taken over by the Labrune family. Jean-Claude Labrune has vowed to continue Halley’s good work.
