This non-vintage pink fizz is made by the Champagne method (referred to as 'Methode Cap Classique' in South Africa), by respected Robertson producer Graham Beck. It's not hugely complex, and while 7.5g/L residual sugar is standard for a Brut style fizz and less than most Proseccos, it's definitely discernible here, so not one for those who prefer their fizz bone-dry. That said, there's a lot to like here, including an attractive pale pink hue in the glass, lively, clean and crisp red berry fruit aromas and flavours, and a hint of pink grapefruit. Fresh and fruit-forward, with a subtle hint of yeastiness from time on lees.
